Can't Remember What You Did Last Year, or Last Month? New Software Automatically Creates a Diary of Your Life
"P.Bio" (for PC/Mac) analyzes and organizes your photos, purchases, and social contacts to automatically create a calendar of your past.
San Francisco, CA, October 02, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Have you ever tried to keep a diary? If you've ever come across an old diary it can be fascinating to read what you were doing and what interested you a few years or even just a few months ago.
But the problem with diaries is that for most people it's difficult to make entries every day, so they often end up with long stretches of empty pages. People plan to catch up, but before long the days start to blend together, and it becomes difficult to remember what distinguished one day from any other.
Now there's new software which can automatically research your life and create a calendar of your past, showing where you were, what you purchased, who you contacted, and what pictures you took - all with no need for daily entries.
It's called "P.Bio" ("your P_ersonal BIO_grapher") and it was released by Yowza Software in August, 2007.
Although P.Bio uses the internet to find information, it is not web-based, so it is installed directly on your PC or Mac. All your personal information is protected with encryption (you need to login with a password any time you want to use it), and because it stores information locally on your own computer there is no central database of information located on a server somewhere. This keeps your personal history private and very secure, and also lets you access it even when you don't have an internet connection.
After installing P.Bio and doing an initial information search, the result is really quite amazing: Suppose you took a trip to the Grand Canyon... along your journey you bought gas, had meals at restaurants, stayed at motels, called friends, and took lots of digital pictures. With P.Bio you can look back on that trip months or years later and see a map of your route, the names of all the restaurants and places you stayed, who you called, and all the pictures you took, shown on the day you took them. All automatically, without having to make any manual entries at all.
You can add journal entries and other info to any day if you wish, but it certainly isn't necessary. You can also search your past for the name of a friend, a restaurant, or anything else and P.Bio will show all days with any reference to those items.
P.Bio is priced very reasonably ($49.95). The package includes a CD (for PC & Mac) and a printed manual, and customers can always get free downloadable upgrades. For more information, please Google "P.Bio".
