Raleigh, NC, February 27, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Mims Distributing Company, a beer distributor servicing a nine-county area in and around North Carolina’s Triangle region, has announced that Chief Sales Officer Jeff Mims will participate in a panel discussion titled “SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) Management: Navigating a Crowded Retail Landscape,” at Fullsteam Brewery in Durham, N.C., on Wednesday, Feb. 26 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Hosted by Brewbound, the discussion will be moderated by its editor, Chris Furnari, and will cover how craft brewers can work with their wholesale partners to build better brands and manage new SKUs.
In his position, Jeff Mims manages more than 50 Mims Distributing staff, including 31 salespeople, eight supervisors and six managers. He joined Mims in 1995 working in the warehouse before becoming the company’s wine sales manager. When the company divested its wine division in 2000, Mims became a chain manager focusing solely on beer. He leads Mims’ efforts to become an increasingly sustainable company.
