Denver's Novelist Takes on Murder, Secrets and Lies
Denver, Colorado's Newest Novelist Takes on Murder, Secrets and Lies, Including the Struggles of Getting Published
Upper Marlboro, MD, October 03, 2007 --(PR.com)-- If anyone wanted to know how persistent you have to be in order to be noticed, just ask Tinisha Nicole Johnson, Denver, Colorado's newest novelist. After years of writing poetry, short stories and finishing her third unpublished novel, Tinisha refused to give up. “The writing world can be a big headache, cruel, and met with many, many rejections—at least eighty or more—but if becoming a writer is your dream, you’ll get going and find a way.”
Searchable Whereabouts (ISBN: 9780979975700, Xpress Yourself Publishing, $16.95, February 1, 2008), a mainstream mystery and suspense novel, is the story of a young woman determined to solve the mysterious death of her beloved uncle. While Rahkel Williams is trying to unravel the circumstances surrounding her uncle’s mysterious murder, she discovers clues about his life that has her questioning if he was really the man she thought he was. Now obsessed with finding her uncle’s killer, she enlists the services of private investigator Darrin Miller. With his help, she sets out to get answers and it’s not long before private gets very personal. But Rahkel finds herself caught in a web of lies and deceit where nothing and no one are as they seem. Strange things are happening and people around her are dying.
"Similar to Valerie Wilson Wesley, Tinisha Nicole Johnson created unforgettable characters, heart-stopping scenes, and crafty twists and turns that left me wanting more. A novel with best-seller written all over it," says Jessica Tilles, publisher of Xpress Yourself Publishing.
A serious writer, Tinisha is currently enrolled in Long Ridge Writers Group, a program designed to help aspiring authors. “Sometimes you have to take your writing into your own hands to get the attention it deserves.”
Tinisha pursued self-publishing her book for a short while, but decided to send her novel, Searchable Whereabouts, out one last time. It was accepted by Xpress Yourself Publishing, LLC. Searchable Whereabouts is schedule for a February 1, 2008 release and will be available in your favorite bookstore, at Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, and other fine online retailers.
