William Pully Named to U.S.S. North Carolina Battleship Commission
Second-Year Campbell Law Student Appointed by Governor McCrory.
Raleigh, NC, February 28, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Campbell Law School announced that Campbell Law student William A. Pully, II was selected by North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory to the U.S.S. North Carolina Battleship Commission. A second-year law student, Pully is a native of Rocky Mount, N.C.
The Battleship Commission was established by general statutes of the State of North Carolina in 1960 to provide an organization whose charter was to oversee the administration and operation of the battleship as a permanent memorial and exhibit for the state's World War II veterans.
The Battleship Commission consists of 18 members selected by the Governor, including the Secretary of Cultural Resources and the Secretary of Commerce who serve as voting ex-officio members. Pully holds an undergraduate degree in history from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
Pully’s father, William Pully, is a 1979 Campbell Law graduate and member of the Campbell Law Board of Visitors. He serves as the president of the North Carolina Hospital Association.
