NCVMA Presents $5,000 High Five Grant to Pamlico Animal Welfare Society for Third Consecutive Year

The North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association Supports Nonprofit Organization Providing Spaying and Neutering Services.

Oriental, NC, March 01, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association (NCVMA) has awarded one of its five annual $5,000 High Five grants to Pamlico Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) in Oriental, N.C. for the third consecutive year. Pamlico Animal Welfare Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the neglect, abandonment and euthanasia of homeless pets. The High Five Grant will assist Pamlico Animal Welfare Society in spaying and neutering hundreds of pets in order to decrease the use of euthanasia in local shelters and to increase the quality of life for these animals.

The High Five Grant Program was established to assist qualified organizations that promote community service as well as compassion and health care for people and animals in North Carolina. NCVMA will award $5,000 to Pamlico Animal Welfare Society in 2014, and the organization will have the opportunity to receive another $5,000 grant in 2015 by a reapplication process.
