Raleigh Walker Auto Parts Wins Store of the Year
Raleigh, NC, March 05, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Walker Auto Parts’ Six Forks location has won Store of the Year for its sales growth in 2013. This is the highest honor that NAPA Auto Parts bestows upon its stores.
Since changing over to NAPA in 2009, Walker Auto Parts has grown from 13 stores to 27 locations doing a volume of $28 million in sales. The Six Forks location is a huge contributor to that sales growth. In 2013, Six Fork’s sales grew 28% to $4,069,000 – beating growth across the industry. This is the fourth straight year of double-digit sales increases for the location.
“The credit goes to the remarkable team that we have put together. Starting with Stuart White, our Six Forks manager, to each counterperson, salesperson and driver—everyone has bought in and it’s driving remarkable results,” said Dan Walker, CEO of Walker Auto Parts.
Walker remains wholesale focused, working on achieving partnerships with their customers—your local garage, fleet center or shop. NAPA also awarded Walker the “Golden Hammer” award, which, is awarded to NAPA stores doing a high level of tool and equipment business. Six Forks alone had a 19% increase in tool sales.
“I think our customers value that we hire experts in the field. With NAPA we have also been able to expand our inventory – offering lines and parts in areas we’ve previously never sold. We want to become the parts supplier for every industry and need. This award shows that we are headed in the right direction,” said Dan Walker.
