Community of Hope Partners with AVF Consulting for Implementation, Support of Financial Management Software
Baltimore, MD, March 06, 2014 --(PR.com)-- As it opens a new facility and expands its services in the District of Columbia, the Community of Hope has also selected AVF Consulting to implement and support a new financial management and nonprofit accounting software system to help enhance the nonprofit’s operational efficiency and provide even greater service to the district.
The upgraded operations software will support Community of Hope’s mission to improve the health and quality of life for low-income, homeless, and underserved families and individuals in the District of Columbia by providing healthcare, housing with supportive services, educational opportunities and spiritual support.
With a move to Serenic Navigator, the Community of Hope will be adopting an accounting software system built upon a foundation of Microsoft Dynamics NAV and tailored to meet the needs of nonprofits.
Brenda Camacho, Vice President of Finance for Community of Hope, said “Serenic Navigator is the software that provides the largest number of our wish list items and flexibility for our rapidly growing organization. We are pleased to have found a partner in AVF Consulting to think through the process and details, ensuring a smooth transition.”
Incorporated as an independently-run nonprofit organization in 1980, the Community of Hope has always had a strong focus on maximizing resources in order to best serve people in the District and was awarded The Washington Post Award for Excellence in Nonprofit Management in 2012.
Recently, the Community of Hope expanded its services with the opening of the $26.6 million Conway Health and Resource Center in an underserved neighborhood east of the river in the District’s Ward 8. When operating at capacity, the center’s doctors, dentists and nurse practitioners are expected to handle 40,000 visits a year.
“The new Conway health center is another reminder of how fortunate the District of Columbia is to have the Community of Hope,” said Andrew Fass, CEO of AVF Consulting. “As an organization dedicated to financial efficiency and transparency, we are pleased partner with the Community of Hope and to play a small role in helping it fulfill that commitment.”
