Talk Fusion to Sponsor Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Fallen Heroes Memorial Ride
Charity bike event for fallen police officers raises funds for new memorial.
Brandon, FL, March 06, 2014 --(PR.com)-- To show its support for local law enforcement, Florida-based video communication and relationship marketing company Talk Fusion announced its title sponsorship of the upcoming Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Fallen Heroes Memorial Ride.
The bicycle ride will take place on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at McDonald Elementary School in Seffner, FL. Proceeds will benefit HCSO Charities, Inc. and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Memorial Construction Project, which is currently underway next to the Malcolm E. Beard Sheriff’s Operation Center in Ybor City. The finished project, deemed Fallen Heroes Remembrance Park, will feature a mosaic tile sheriff’s badge and a granite wall with the names of sheriff’s deputies who died in the line of duty.
A former Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Deputy, Talk Fusion Founder & CEO Bob Reina has a personal connection to this ride’s cause.
“Even with over 20 years on the force, it never gets easier to hear about the passing of a fellow deputy,” said Reina. “It gives me great pride to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our community with events like this. We can’t change the past, but together we can give these heroes the recognition they deserve for a long time to come.”
The Fallen Heroes Memorial Ride begins at 7:30 am at McDonald Elementary School located at 501 Pruett Rd. in Seffner. It will feature both 25- and 50-mile courses through the beautiful rural scenery of eastern Hillsborough County. Registration is open to riders of all ages. The cost is $50 in advance or $60 on the day of the ride and includes a dry-fit t-shirt, aid/water stations and goodie bags.
