The Modern Man Survey Finds Men Want More Than a One-Night-Stand
Survey of readers finds that most men want more than a lifetime of hook-ups

Do they just want sex, or are they actually looking for something more? While popular belief holds that men are always on the lookout for their next conquest, the results of The Modern Man's survey prove that conception to be inaccurate.
The survey, running since the beginning of February 2014 on The Modern Man's website, asks readers what they're looking for when dating. While some admit that they enjoy a temporary lifestyle full of exciting, one-time encounters, most answered that what they really want is a sustainable, permanent relationship with one woman. Of course, whether or not they will stay with or marry her is a completely separate issue.
One participant in the survey writes of the issue, "I used to feel bad for wanting to enjoy a fun dating life in my 20's, but now I see that everyone wants different things, and in the end, most guys want to settle down with one woman anyway. I have also noticed that many women feel the same way these days and don't necessarily want to marry the first man they sleep with."
