El Paso Electric Selects DYONYX as IT Outsource Provider

DYONYX, an IT Outsource and Consulting Firm, has been selected by El Paso, TX based El Paso Electric (EPE) to provide strategic IT oversight, managed services, helpdesk and network support of EPE operations. Apart from the hosting and management of EPE mainframe and financial applications, DYONYX will provide the design, implementation and ongoing support of all EPE technology requirements. DYONYX provides similar services for enterprise and government customers throughout the US.

Houston, TX, October 02, 2007 --(PR.com)-- DYONYX, an IT Outsource and Consulting Firm, has been selected by El Paso, TX based El Paso Electric (EPE) to provide strategic IT oversight, managed services, helpdesk and network support of EPE operations. The parties are currently negotiating a multi-year contract for such services. Apart from the hosting and management of EPE mainframe and financial applications, DYONYX will provide the design, implementation and ongoing support of all EPE technology requirements. DYONYX provides similar services for enterprise and government customers throughout the US.

EPE’s Director of Information Technology, Chris Montoya stated: “This decision is part of our ongoing strategic process of evaluating and improving the operations of our Company to assure and improve service to our customers. Datacenter operations will remain in El Paso, along with approximately twenty positions, while the remaining support services will be provided from the DYONYX Network Operations Command Center located in Houston.
