Fifth Wednesday Journal Announces Release Parties for Inaugural Issue
Fifth Wednesday Books Inc. announces two upcoming release parties to celebrate the inaugural issue of Fifth Wednesday Journal. Both events are free and open to the public. Fifth Wednesday Journal is a biannual literary journal publishing poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction and black-and-white photography.
Lisle, IL, October 04, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Fifth Wednesday Books Inc. announces two upcoming release parties to celebrate the inaugural issue of Fifth Wednesday Journal. Both events are free and open to the public.
The primary release party will take place Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007 at Cafe Buonaro in Naperville, IL. Dinner (optional) begins at 6 p.m., and the program begins at 7:15 p.m. Those who wish to enjoy a traditional family-style Chicken Marley dinner, the cafe specialty, should e-mail 5thwedjournal at comcast dot net by October 24 to reserve a plate. The regular menu and a cash bar will also be available throughout the evening. All purchases are optional.
A second release party will follow on Saturday, Nov. 4, beginning at 1 p.m. at Jak's Tap in Chicago, IL. Coffee and soft drinks will be provided. Food and other beverages may be purchased at the bar, if desired.
Both events will feature readings from the contributors and door prizes, plus the opportunity to purchase copies of the inaugural issue and subscribe to Fifth Wednesday Journal. Each program will run about 45 minutes, plus time for mingling with the authors and photographers.
"We're extremely excited about celebrating our first issue," said Editor and Publisher Vern Miller. "Guest Fiction Editor Daniel S. Libman and Guest Poetry Editor Nina Corwin worked with several assistant editors to read and select from almost 1,000 total submissions from around the world. At almost 200 pages in length, our Fall 2000 issue features work of exceptional quality in a range of styles from both experienced and emerging writers and photographers."
