American International College Names New Vice President for Institutional Advancement
Springfield, MA, March 09, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Maureen F. Fitzgerald of Los Angeles, Calif., has been named vice president of Institutional Advancement at American International College (AIC). The announcement was made recently by AIC president Vince Maniaci.
In her new position, Fitzgerald will provide strategic guidance in leading and developing the institutional advancement department and will be responsible for measurable growth in the College’s current fundraising, alumni relations, major gifts, planned giving, research, advancement service and grant programs. She will also be in charge of the planning and implementation of future campaigns, including budget oversight and management in all areas of the department.
Fitzgerald comes to AIC from California State University, Northridge, where she was the associate vice president of Development. There, she revamped the Annual Fund, established measurable, concise and clear expectations of the major gift staff and created a stronger stewardship program for benefactors.
Fitzgerald also served as managing director of Development at The University of Texas Medical Branch, where she oversaw Development Communications, Budget, Annual Fund, Staff Development, and Major Gifts Team Management. She was instrumental in managing the Timeless Values, Pioneering Solutions Campaign that raised $260 million.
Her experience also includes nearly 20 years at Westfield State College, where she served as associate director of Development. At Westfield, Fitzgerald was involved in all aspects of alumni relations and development, with special emphasis on annual giving strategies and tactics, senior class and reunion gifts, and major gift solicitation.
Fitzgerald earned her B.A., in Psychology & English from Westfield State College, and her M.B.A. in Finance from AIC.
