Brüel & Kjær’s Noise Monitoring Road Trip

Royston, United Kingdom, March 12, 2014 --(PR.com)-- To help acousticians and those involved with assessing the impact of sound on local communities, Brüel & Kjær has launched an environmental Noise Monitoring Tour.

Beginning this month in Toronto, Canada, the free seminars have been designed to provide delegates with the latest information on environmental noise monitoring and management, making it ideal for noise enforcement officers, city planners and noise consultants.

Analysing the impact of sound sources on the surrounding community correctly is critical to improving the environment and - as a result - the most effective noise action plans are based on accurate, real-time levels or meaningful statistical parameters.

The seminar’s morning session is designed to help acousticians gain practical knowledge for these assessments, covering noise metrics and their value for noise mitigation, mapping or assessment. As the future of noise management may include dynamic noise maps, which optimise acoustic emissions based on single point measurements, this session will also cover how close current technology is to that goal.

The afternoon session is a focus on noise compliance for large, long duration construction projects. Brüel & Kjær‘s Noise Sentinel – a subscription based monitoring service – will be used to demonstrate how to review noise levels remotely, receive alerts, listen to audio recordings to investigate, view trends and automatically produce reports with detailed noise levels and summary compliance information.
