Eric McDonald of DocuTAP to Present at Urgent Care Association of America’s 2014 National Convention
CEO of Urgent Care EMR and Practice Management Technology Provider to Discuss Financial Reporting Strategies at National Urgent Care Convention.
Sioux Falls, SD, March 14, 2014 --(PR.com)-- DocuTAP, the country’s leading provider of integrated Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and practice management technology for urgent care practices, has announced that Eric McDonald, the firm’s founder and CEO, will present “Financial Reporting Strategies for Maximizing Profitability for Non-Financial Professionals,” at the Urgent Care Association of America’s (UCAOA) 2014 National Urgent Care Convention in Las Vegas, Nev. In his presentation, McDonald will discuss how urgent care centers can use data and analytics from EHR and workflow management to maximize profitability.
In addition, McDonald will cover the following topics in his presentation:
- How internal processes drive and affect data;
- The four ways to measure data (stock reports, analytics, dashboarding and benchmarking) and how to apply them for optimal measurement results;
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in observing what areas of urgent care need improvement, and
- How private equity groups and financial investors are affecting the urgent care market.
As a young entrepreneur with a strong IT background, McDonald had the idea and vision of DocuTAP in 1999, working one-on-one with physician consultants. In 2000, he officially launched DocuTAP with the help of several angel investors that believed and supported McDonald’s vision of handheld devices replacing desktop computers and clipboards. Today, he guides the firm’s sales and product development, setting the vision for software design and overall company direction. DocuTAP’s flagship product fully integrates practice management and EMR software in one complete system. McDonald received his bachelor’s degree in computer science and mathematics from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, in 1998.
McDonald’s presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, March 18 at 1:45 p.m. UCAOA is the foremost provider of quality urgent care education and resources. Each year, UCAOA holds its National Urgent Care Convention, attended by hundreds of physicians, midlevel providers, urgent care center owners, administrators, managers and other urgent care professionals.
