New Invention That Solves the Problem of Children Being Left in Cars and Dying From Heat Stroke Commences Crowd Funding Campaign
Miami, FL, March 15, 2014 --(PR.com)-- On average, one child dies every 10 days from heatstroke in a vehicle (via Safe Kids WorldWide). The recently patented ANEIROS vehicle child seat safety system seeks to bring an end to this epidemic via a crowd funding campaign launched today on IndieGogo.
Created by South Florida inventor Dennis Aneiros, the ANEIROS is a “smart” vehicle child seat system that is comprised of a custom child car seat connected to several transmitters and sensors though out the vehicle. The ANEIROS system connects to the cars processor, allowing it to activates the car’s alarms, lights, audible interior noise, air conditioning system, and control the door locks. Detecting who and when is seated in both the driver and child’s seats, it triggers numerous alarms and notifications to alert a parent of a child still behind in the car, and can even cool down the child by remotely activating the air conditioning system.
A child’s body regulates heat at 1/4th the efficiency that an adults body does, causing them heat up significantly quicker. At 104 degrees Fahrenheit, a child’s internal organs start malfunctioning. At 107 degrees Fahrenheit, the child starts to die. The internal temperature in a vehicle can rise to over 20 degrees of the outside temperature within 10 minutes. In the past two decades, there have been over an estimated 65,000 cases of child vehicular heat stroke, many of those cases resulting in death. This is especially a problem in states such as Florida, Texas, and California. Not restricted to those areas however, these deaths occur often worldwide (via Kids and Cars Org).
To bring the prototype into reality and commence mass production, the ANEIROS team partnered with South Florida production company Ascend Creatives to launch a crowd funding campaign today via IndieGogo. IndieGoGo is the largest global crowd funding website on which people can donate and contribute funding to creative projects in order to get them off the ground. The campaign (which is live for the next 36 days) is raising funding to complete final engineering, tooling, and manufacturing.
