A High Performance High Bay Lighting Solution for Industrial Applications

South Bend, IN, March 16, 2014 --(PR.com)-- American Green Technology® announces the launch of a new high wattage, high-bay especially designed for industrial applications that range above 30 feet. The high performance HB10 joins an already versatile product line for AGT, but certainly brings new dimension as a great dual lamp solution for replacing 1000 watt HIDs. The industrial and manufacturing sector can be a challenging environment for lighting because of the intense heat often generated, the height of the ceilings and the dirty, dusty, wet or oily conditions usually found. These types of surroundings don’t intimidate the HB10. It was built for it.
“The HB10 is a workhorse,” said Meredith Jimenez, Corporate Communications Director. “Many of our industrial clients were looking for a lighting solution to offset the maintenance requirements of the HIDs they had been using previously. The HB10 puts out beautiful light, handles the environment and needs virtually no maintenance which is a huge hassle and cost to any business. This is a great option.”
The HB10 comes in 300, 400, 500 and even 600 watt models. The generator can also be ordered with a dedicated 480 volt input that is ideal for industrial and commercial settings where older 480 volt systems are already in place and you can do a 1 to 1 replacement with no additional parts required.
In order to ensure that this high performance, high bay was capable of handling some of the toughest settings like steel mills, cement factories, or locations where there is heavy materials handling, they applied a rugged powder coating that boasts the best corrosion rating for any lighting fixture available - grade WF2. The HB10 is resistant to chemicals like Sulfur Dioxide, Hydrogen Sulfide, Chlorine, Chlorine Hydride, Fluorine Hydride, Ammonia, Ozone as well as Nitrogen Oxide.
“Factories typically require rugged products due to various types of materials found in those environments that cause corrosion,” said Steve Tokarz, COO who heads up the product development for AGT. “But even though the HB10 is designed with an industrial strength, it is still a perfect option for high ceiling conference spaces or large warehouses; any location where you have high heights and need a broad spacing of light.”
The polished aluminum reflector is vacuum coated to retain its reflectivity while the exceptional performance of the HB10 provides maximum lumen output allowing for a broad light distribution, including a high light level on the ground. The externally mounted generator is located in separate compartment ensuring ease of service. The fixture is IP65 Rated and the reflector and lamp compartment IP53 Rated.
