Downtown Films Moves to New Offices in Historic Las Vegas

Las Vegas, NV, March 16, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Downtown Films which oversees Silver State Production Services and Lola Pictures has moved into the 9,000 square-foot second floor of 333 Sixth Street at the corner of Chef Andre Rochat Place across from the Lloyd D. George Federal Court House in historic downtown Las Vegas.

Downtown Films has grown from two employees when it was founded in 2011 to 15 full-time employees. Downtown Films’s production arm, Lola Pictures, is currently in production on a new film being directed by Gerardo Naranjo starring Dakota Fanning. The film will bring roughly 20 more motion picture professionals into the office to work alongside Downtown Films staff in the new offices while the motion picture is in production.

“The new offices will provide more functional work space while also allowing for expansion as we continue to grow,” Downtown Films founder, Chris Ramirez said.

Downtown Films is a development and production company based in Las Vegas, NV founded by Ramirez and partners Tony Hsieh and Fred Mosler from Zappos.com. The company has signed on to produce Mark Fergus' “Dulcinea” starring Nicolas Cage and also recently optioned the rights to the romantic thriller “Frank & Lola” by Matthew Ross, which will be a co-production with Killer Films and Parts & Labor. Both features will be shot in Las Vegas later this year and produced by Chris Ramirez.

The trio is also owners of Silver State Production Services, which provides crew, gear and logistical support to Nevada based shoots such as “The Hangover III,” “The Motel Life” and Jason Statham's “Heat.” In addition, the partners spun off a commercial division, Downtown Films, which recently produced spots in Las Vegas with Jonathan Hensleigh (“Armageddon”) directing.
