Erie, PA, March 27, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Up to ninety vendors and more than 7,000 attendees are expected to take part in the Great Lakes Sea Glass Festival hosted by Relish Jewelers in Erie, PA.
Slated for Memorial Day weekend 2014, (May 24 and 25) the festival will be held in the Great Hall of Erie’s 29,000 square foot Bayfront Convention Center.
“Last year’s festival was a huge success, and this year we expect more of the same,” said Terri Reed, co-owner of Relish. It’s going to be a supercharged event and we encourage everyone to attend.”
Some highlights in addition to great art will be antique bottle identification, lectures on a variety of interesting coastal subjects for all ages, live acoustic music by Erie’s own Mark Beery on Saturday and the Salmon Frank Band on Sunday.
A “Best Beach Find” contest will be held where attendees can submit up to three pieces of beach glass to be judged for a cash prize. A gift basket raffle will also be held. This year proceeds will once again be donated to two local nonprofits, The PA Sea Grant, and the local chapter of Homeless American Veterans. All are encouraged to help support this worthwhile cause.
