Summer Camp Kickoff Event - Fun for the Entire Family at The Gateway Family YMCA

Union, NJ, March 17, 2014 --(PR.com)-- It may not be summer just yet, but the excitement is growing at The Gateway Family YMCA for the 2014 Summer Camp season. On March 29th 11am-2pm the Elizabeth Branch, Five Points Branch and Rahway Branch will be celebrating with a Summer Camp Kickoff Event. This event is free, open to the community and includes events for the entire family.

Members of the community of all ages are invited to join The Gateway Family YMCA to sample camp activities, meet camp staff, enjoy a tour and take a swim! “Summer Camp creates lasting memories,” stated Lindsay Sudia, Rahway Branch Senior Program Director, “Year after year, children return excited to see their friends and engage in their favorite activities.”

The Summer Camp Kick Off Event will be hosted in the following locations on March 29th:
- Elizabeth Branch, 135 Madison Avenue, Elizabeth, NJ
- Five Points Branch, 201 Tucker Avenue, Union, NJ
- Rahway Branch, 1564 Irving Street, Rahway, NJ

The Gateway Family YMCA offers Summer Camp programs for children from preschool through middle school. In addition to traditional day camp programs, there are many specialty summer camps, including sports and trips. During the Summer Camp Kick Off Event, participants will be able to experience some fun Camp activities. “It’s always fun to see parents and children interacting in activities the kids do every day. It gives the children the ability to be the expert teacher when someone needs help,” added Jessica Samolewicz, Five Points Branch Associate Executive Director.
