TVS Television Network to Feature IWA Wrestling Star Discovery in TV Show Debut
TVS Global Media, owner of both the TVS Television Network and the International Wrestling Association, brings back the seminal national wrestling TV program from the 1970's with new episodes and a dozen new TV stars.
California City, CA, March 18, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The IWA Wrestling Company, founded by the TVS Television Network in 1975 as the first national TV wrestling promotion and program, returns in May, 2014 in Chicago with a star studded lineup for the TVS cameras.
Headlining the show will be Discovery, a mega star from Mexico who also wrestled in WWE events in the United States. Discovery continues the tradition of Mexican superstars in the IWA. Mexican wrestling icon Mil Mascaras was the original IWA Heavyweight Champion and – in fact- still is as he is still active and has not been defeated.
Discovery is the first of 12 featured wrestlers to be named by IWA Wrestling Director Carlos Robles. Discovery follows in the footsteps of major IWA Wrestlers from the initial groundbreaking series in 1975- which included Rip Hawk, Ivan Koloff, Ernie Ladd, Hacksaw Reynolds, Tex MacKenzie, Gino Brito and Dino Bravo,
IWA Wrestling, led by Discovery, will be seen on broadcast TV stations, cable TV networks including regional sports networks, and a TVS IPTV 'Micro Channel' that will feature new and classic IWA wrestling 24/7 and on a video on demand basis.
