Parent Choice Celebrates Its First Anniversary
Chennai, India, October 05, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Chennai, Adyar based Parent Choice, provider of premium quality child-care facility for children between the ages of 4 months and 5 years, celebrated their first annual day on October 2, 2007 at Tattvaloka Auditorium, Chennai. The event was well attended by the families of the children and the staff, associated with Parent Choice.
The stars of the show were of course the students of Parent Choice, who performed on the stage. From infants to toddlers to pre-schoolers, everyone was on stage, singing and dancing to the tunes of popular nursery rhymes.
Lakshmi Sairam, founder and director of Parent Choice, welcomed the audience. A mother of two, Lakshmi quit her lucrative job with the leading IT services provider Cognizant, to pursue her passion for early childhood education. Addressing the gathering, she emphasized the importance of nurturing the body and the brain of children in the first 6 years. At Parent Choice, this learning was made so interesting, that children actually drive the parents to bring them to school.
The chief guest of the evening was Ranjani Manian, CEO of Global Adjustments, the company that provides relocation and cross-cultural orientation for foreign nationals in India. Speaking at the function, Ranjani reiterated the importance of centers such as Parent Choice, that provide a 5-Star learning environment for young children. Reminiscing on her own early motherhood days where she struggled with nurturing her child and balancing her family, she wished she had access to a center like Parent Choice. In appreciating teachers on their fabulous work, she gave away awards for those who performed exceptionally well.
It was heartening to note that some of the parents also came on stage to express their appreciation of the center during the program. Sukumaran, HR Manager at the IT firm Virtusa spoke of the positive influence of Parent Choice on his daughter, so much so his family and friends began to take note of how well behaved she was at such a young age.
Vidya, a stay at home mother of three, first sent her three year old twins to the part-time program. Within a short span of time, seeing their obvious progress, the twins started spending full time at the center.
Darlene, an expat who recently moved into Chennai, while appreciating the food provided, and the care, thanked Lakshmi for quitting her job and starting this center. She was grateful for this, since, she was now able to work at peace with herself, and knowing well that her child was in safe hands.
