Manifestationz Art Gallery Welcomes Artist Natalie Winters

Cary, NC, March 20, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The end of Women’s History Month comes to a close with the celebration of another great female artist at Manifestationz Art Gallery. The gallery is excited to welcome the multi-talented Natalie Winters as its’ featured artist for the month of April. An opening reception will be held on Friday March 28th from 6-9pm.

Winters spends her days as an esteemed psychologist and psychodramatist, and her evenings as a passionate artist. She has recently reignited her love of creating art, and will display many of her colorful moods at the gallery. Specializing in a rare medium of pastel on suede board, the artist began to draw inspiration from her love of gardening. It prompted her to create a series of works entitled “The Inner Gardener” that was eventually featured in the Tampa Tribune. The pastel technique gives her work a rich, life-like quality with a velvety finish that is best captured up close and personal.

Winters also uses oils in creating many of her expressive paintings. She often uses a pallet knife to express impressions of various moods people display. Her pallet knife painting of “Shadow Man,” was awarded a blue ribbon at the SunTan Gallery in St. Pete, Fl. She was artist of the month at that venue. Winters has also exhibited at the Duneden Arts Center, Great Art & Frame Gallery in Tampa and the Artists Gallery Royale in St. Pete, each a Florida venue.

Since moving to Cary, NC in 2008, she has had her work displayed in Rey’s Restaurant, has become a member of FALC (Fine Arts League of Cary, and was juried into the Fifteenth Annual Show, 2009. Winters was awarded third prize for her entry in the FALC Winter Show at Page-Walker Museum and Historical Society. In 2010 was awarded first prize, the Blue Ribbon for The People's Choice Show at Jordan Hall Cultural Arts Center, Cary, NC. She was the featured artist of the month in March of 2011 at Sip a Wine in Cary. Winters is one of a group of six artists showing at the Chambers Art Gallery, Ashworth Circle, in Cary. Her piece is titled, "Four Play."
