Career Step Programs Now Available to Graduating High School Seniors
The Career Step programs are now available to graduating high school seniors, giving high school students the opportunity to start rewarding careers more quickly after graduation.
Provo, UT, March 20, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Career Step, an online school providing career-focused education, is pleased to announce that its programs are now available to graduating high school seniors. This new effort gives high school students the opportunity to start rewarding careers more quickly after graduation.
“Our mission is to provide all of our students affordable, quality education that will help them begin a rewarding career and earn a good living,” said Career Step CEO Stephen Tober. “With skyrocketing tuition rates and ballooning student debt levels nationwide, traditional college is not for everyone. Our career-focused programs are an excellent alternative—whether you want to start a career right away or are just looking for a way to pay for college. With Career Step’s courses, you can be trained and working in a quarter of the time and for a tenth of the cost of more traditional options.”
In Career Step’s home state of Utah, Governor Herbert has established clear educational goals focused on the fact that a strong economy requires an educated workforce. The state is working toward a goal of ensuring that 66 percent of adult Utahns have a post-secondary degree or professional certification by 2020. Career Step’s career certificate programs are part of the solution to make this goal a reality. Career Step’s courses are focused on helping students gain the knowledge and skills required to start a rewarding career immediately upon program completion. Each program is online, self-paced and instructor supported, providing students one-on-one access to instructors by phone, email and chat.
Career Step’s programs are focused in healthcare, technology and administration, including, among others, pharmacy technician, computer technician and medical coding and billing training. These programs can be completed in three to twelve months, and they prepare students to earn salaries of $30,000 to $50,000 a year.
“College tuition has increased by 500 percent in the last few decades, and nineteen of the twenty career fields that will have the most job openings in the next few years require less than two years of education,” said Ryan Ewer, Career Step Vice President of Enrollments and Marketing. “This all points to a need for streamlined, career-focused education options. There are a number of great career opportunities that do not require a degree, and our new focus on serving graduating seniors aims to help them prepare for these in-demand careers.”
