Camp Better America Chosen as a Top Five Nominee by the CLASSY Awards 2014

Arlington, TX, March 20, 2014 --(PR.com)-- It was announced this month that Camp Better America was one of five non-profits selected in the Military Spouse and Family Support category to be honored at the 5th Annual CLASSY Awards. Selected from thousands of remarkable organizations worldwide, this year’s Nominees are driving instrumental change across 25 cause categories. The Leadership Council will now vote to determine the CLASSY Awards Winners who will be announced live on-stage at the CLASSY Awards Ceremony on May 3rd.

“We were so excited and surprised with the announcement. We are still such a small organization and dream of being able to host every military family, post 9/11, in the country. This exposure could get us one step closer to making that dream a reality,” said Kimberly Burleson, Co-Founder of Camp Better America.

Camp Better America is a 501(c) 3 organization that hosts military families after the service member returns from war. Four-day camps are located at resort-like locations. They offer an opportunity for the families to relax, let their walls down, and reconnect with each other. At the same time, family members are exposed to leading experts in the fields of mental health, financial services, emotional and physical well being. It is the goal of Camp Better America to maintain a relationship with all of the families that attend their retreats and continue to offer support, tools, and opportunities to these families as they move forward in life.
