Anaplan Appoints Rajeev Mitroo as Managing Director for Australia, New Zealand
New Managing Director aims to expand Anaplan’s in-memory, business planning and execution platform to organizations in Australia and New Zealand.
Sydney, Australia, March 22, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Anaplan today announced the appointment of Rajeev Mitroo as Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). In this role, Mitroo will manage Anaplan’s growth in the ANZ market, overseeing pre-sales, sales management, marketing and customer success.
“Across the world, business users – enterprise-wide – are turning to the cloud to transform their complex business operations into powerful, easy-to-use models with no IT or technical intervention required. We are seeing the rise of the business analyst/user as a citizen developer,” said Samir Neji, Anaplan’s Managing Director, APAC. “Anaplan has received tremendous interest from many ANZ companies requiring business modelling and planning in the cloud. Anaplan is responding to this interest with a direct presence. With Rajeev heading up our ANZ operations we now have an energetic, seasoned professional who will make it easier for ANZ companies looking to upgrade to next-gen business productivity tools.”
Mitroo joins Anaplan from Exinda, where he was responsible for strategic accounts, mid-enterprise, channel and demand generation as Vice President of Sales for Asia Pacific and Japan. Prior to Exinda, Mitroo was ANZ General Manager for SAP’s Business User business unit, which was formed post SAP’s acquisition of Business Objects. Mitroo brings more than 20 years of sales and management experience to Anaplan and in this newly created position, he will be focused on growing and expanding Anaplan’s existing ANZ installed base and channel development.
According to Frost and Sullivan’s State of Cloud Computing in Australia Report 2013, Australian organizations are now migrating a wider range of production workloads and core business systems to the cloud, including ERP, CRM and web services. More than 60 percent of organizations in Australia that are currently using cloud-based solutions plan to increase their cloud budget over the next 12 months, whilst only 2 percent plan to decrease their budgets, suggesting an impetus to migrate to the cloud for a competitive advantage.
“Anaplan has enabled companies such as these around the globe to solve key challenges across their organizations from sales to finance to operations, and I am thrilled to bring our platform to more Australian and New Zealand organisations,” Mitroo said. “Anaplan is purpose-built to manage massive volumes of data and high degrees of model and process complexities while enabling large numbers of people to easily collaborate on a single source of truth. I want to help deliver innovation to the way Australian and New Zealand companies have traditionally conducted business planning and execution activities particularly when it comes to Sales Performance Management (SPM). I look forward to working with our partners in this space, including Salesforce.com, to solve challenges around SPM and other aspects of business planning.”
Connect with Rajeev and Anaplan on Wednesday, March 26 at the Salesforce1 World Tour event at the Palladium at Crown in Melbourne, Australia. More information and registration details can be found at: https://www.anaplan.com/events/salesforce1-world-tour/
