A Sweet Success: Holm Made Toffee Co. Brings Home Two Awards from the Oregon Chocolate Festival

Bend, OR, March 23, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Holm Made Toffee Co. announced today that they were a big winner at the 10th Annual Oregon Chocolate Festival held over the weekend in Ashland, OR. The event was held March 7th – 9th at the Ashland Spring Hotel and featured over 30 of the states best artisan chocolate companies.

Three industry judges were on hand all weekend to sample and critique the chocolatiers. Eight awards were presented – with Holm Made Toffee Co. receiving two of the eight. The judges awarded Holm Made Toffee Co. “Best Chocolate Candy” for their Oregon Hazelnut and Lavender Toffee. Holm Made Toffee Co. also was awarded the fan voted, “People’s Choice Award” at the conclusion of the event.

Holm Made Toffee Co. had planned to enter the product competition with their Sea Salt flavor – but at the last minute decided to hand the judges their brand new Lavender flavor. “We decided to just go for it!” said Holm Made Toffee Co. owner Donna Holm. “This candy was so new that only our family members had taste tested it. We had no idea how people would react to the flavor profile. It ended up a winner and we have no doubt we’ll continue with the recipe.”
