Capstone Radiology Supports Truman Medical Center with Teleradiology
Chicago, IL, March 23, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Beginning March 20th, national radiology management group Capstone Radiology, top Kansas City Level One trauma center Truman Medical Center (TMC) and radiology group Medical Imaging, embark on a partnership to increase patient care. This union brings together three strong healthcare forces whose combined focus is improving the patient experience and critical outcomes for Kansas City and the surrounding region. Capstone will provide teleradiology support for TMC, specifically assisting in the rapid turn around and final reports on all computerized tomography (CT) cases originating at Truman Medical Center and its multiple locations.
TMC is a not-for-profit, two acute-care hospital health system in Kansas City. The TMC Health System includes TMC Hospital Hill, TMC Lakewood, TMC Behavioral Health, the Jackson County Health Department and a number of primary care practices throughout Eastern Jackson County. TMC is the primary teaching hospital for the University of Missouri-Kansas City Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry and Pharmacy and specializes in Chronic Disease Management, high risk pregnancies, orthopedics, trauma services, and women’s health. TMC was one of the first hospitals in the Kansas City area to transition to fully digital radiology services more than ten years ago and more recently has utilized diagnostic tools such as the 128-slice CT scanner. A device, known for efficiency and speed, that can save up to 15 minutes during the critical first hour after a traumatic injury. Technology such as these combined with TMC’s extensive use of an electronic medical record system allow for critically ill or injured patients to get the best care as quickly as possible for the best outcomes.
