Boiler Breakdown Cover Providers 247 Home Rescue Comment on Family Safety Week
247 Home Rescue, a team of home emergency cover and boiler breakdown cover specialists, has commented on Family Safety Week.
Lancashire, United Kingdom, March 26, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Family Safety Week began yesterday (March 24th). The week is launched by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents and aims to reduce the number of preventable accidents involving members of the public.
Boiler breakdown cover and home emergency specialists 247 Home Rescue are keenly interested in health and safety and are encouraging their staff members to think about safety issues in work and outside of work to mark the week.
Commenting on Family Safety Week, 247 Home Rescue representative Jade Houghton said, "We strongly support family safety week. While Brits spend a lot of time and money on research into illnesses and later-life care, accidents remain the number one cause of preventable death for people under the age of 60.
"Nothing is more important than the family. Concerns such as financial constraints and job problems might seem all-encompassing at the moment, but when it comes down to it, family is of utmost importance to almost everyone.
"From boiler breakdowns leading to gas leaks to home emergencies involving electricity malfunctions, and from slips, trips and falls to road traffic collisions, the number of accidents that could seriously injure or even kill our family members is too great to think about. What is particularly sad is that so many of these accidents could easily be prevented.
"Family Safety Week is a great way to reduce the number of preventable deaths in the UK and our boiler breakdown cover team hopes the initiative is a great success."
