Texas Trust Credit Union VP of Mortgage Lending Wins Multiple Chamber Awards
Richard Whitman Receives Three Awards at Annual Chamber Event
Mansfield, TX, March 29, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Richard Whitman Receives Three Awards at Annual Chamber Event, Vice President of Mortgage Lending for Texas Trust Credit Union was honored by the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce with three community awards.
Whitman was recognized with the highest honors for Man of the Year, Branding Iron of the Year and Community Award for Outstanding Service.
According to the Grand Prairie Chamber, Whitman's Man of the Year award was for his unselfish assistance, his continuous demonstration of excellence in his profession, and his dedication to providing valuable services to the Grand Prairie community. The Chamber said Whitman continually exhibited initiative and creativity that enhanced the effectiveness of his profession and the stability and improvement of the community.
The Branding Iron of the Year award honors members that serve as outstanding Ambassadors for the Chamber. This award was based on attendance and points earned through participation. Whitman served as the official greeter at luncheons and business mixers, presided over ribbon cutting events, and proactively reached out to new members to welcome them and get them engaged in Chamber activities.
Whitman was also presented the Community Award for Outstanding Service by Children First Counseling Center, for his individual contributions. His involvement helped open new doors for Children First, broadening its audience among potential donors, and helping it secure additional long-term funding through 2015 for its Play Therapy Wing.
Texas Trust has been serving Grand Prairie for more than 20 years. Three of its 15 branches are in Grand Prairie. Whitman has been an active member of the Grand Prairie Chamber since joining Texas Trust in 2006.
