Calgary Urban Living Announces Condo Sales Numbers
Downtown Calgary experiences in an increase in condo sales over February.
Calgary, Canada, March 30, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Calgary Urban Living announced the Calgary downtown condo numbers from February. Using market reports from the Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB), Calgary Urban Living stated that compared to January, the month of February saw a 44% increase of Calgary condos sold in the Calgary areas of Downtown, Victoria Park, Connaught, Mission, Cliff Bungalow, and Lower Mount Royal.
Connaught experienced the largest jump in sales with an increase of 35% since January. The community of Mission saw an increase of 65% in the average asking price over February.
The average asking price in February was $430,593, while the average sold price was set at $422,399.
The median asking price of Calgary downtown condos was $365,000 and the median sold price was $360,000.

The number of new listings in these communities experienced a 4% decrease from January. However, the city of Calgary did see an overall increase in condominium listings in February. Apartments experienced a 17% growth, while townhouses experienced a 4% growth.
The community of Connaught had the highest number of new properties listed in the Calgary downtown area at 51, which was no change from January.
In addition, the average number of days a property was on the market in January was 40 days, which decreased to 32 days on the market during February.
