SriVidya Concert Series
SriVidya Concert Series The annual SriVidya Concert Series is taking place in the new Auditorium of Sri Rajarajeshwari Temple of Rush, New York between October 4, 2007 and October 22, 2007. There are 16 musical performances and 3 Dance programs. This year the concerts will feature PadmaBushan, Sangeetha Kalanithi Sri. TN Sheshagopalan, Hydrabad Brothers, Pon Sunderalingam, Malladi Brothers, Satyabama Rajalingam and Gayathri Venkatragavan as visitng artists.
Rochester, NY, October 06, 2007 --(PR.com)-- South Asian Performing Arts Society is announcing the annual SriVidya Concert Series is taking place in the new Auditorium of Sri Rajarajeshwari Temple of Rush, New York between October 4, 2007 and October 22, 2007. There are 16 musical performances and 3 Dance programs.
This year the concerts will feature PadmaBushan, Sangeetha Kalanithi Sri. TN Sheshagopalan, Hydrabad Brothers, Pon Sunderalingam, Malladi Brothers, Satyabama Rajalingam and Gayathri Venkatragavan as visitng artists.
October 06, 2007 will have a Hindustani and Carnatic Instumental Jugalbandhi featuring young and vibrant musicians from North India, South India and Canada. Snehashish Mazumdar will play his unique Hindustani Mandolin with HN Baskhar on Carnatic Violin along with Feroz Khan on Tabla and Ramana on Ghattam.
October 07 will have an awesome celebration of music with Carnatic vocalist Kalpana Venkat supported by violin, two mrudangams, khanjira, ghattam, morsing, real tempura and support vocalists. A full bench concert of this nature does not take place even in India that often.
October 19, 2007 PadmaBushan, Sangeetha Kalanithi Sri. TN Sheshagopalan will present a Kathakalakshebam on Devi Prabandham.
October 21 will feature a multi instrumental blast of SruthiLayam by Mrudanga Kshetram.
