XebiaLabs today announced its plans to take the company to the next level of growth with the appointment of its first General Manager for North America, John Dumalac.

The former Intel and Red Hat executive will be responsible for spearheading XebiaLabs into unchartered new territories, creating channel relations and developing a high-performance sales organization. The hire comes at an opportune time, as the company plans to double its headcount and open a new sales office in London.

John brings 20 years of sales leadership and management experience as a proven leader in identifying top talent and elevating sales team performance through enablement and execution. He was most recently Vice President Global Sales & Channels with TATA Consultancy Services, DS&S Group, based in Santa Clara, Calif., responsible for all DS&S sales and channels. Before that, he was the Managing Director of Sales, West Region, for Red Hat, Inc., where he quadrupled revenues for the open source leader. Prior to Red Hat, he was Senior Director at Intel Corporation in Boston, managing the East Region Intel Solution Services team. He spent his early years at Baan prior to its acquisition by Infor.
John has received multiple awards and recognitions for his sales leadership achievements from Red Hat, Intel, and Infor (Baan) and is very active in the Silicon Valley startup community. He is also a former member of the United States Marine Corps Reserve and earned his BS degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts/Lowell. He currently resides in the Bay Area with his wife and three children.
