SteadyRain Sponsors Warrior Fest and Wounded Warrior Project
SteadyRain is a sponsor for the inaugural Warrior Fest, a fundraising event for the Wounded Warrior Project on April 19th. The free event features live music from a variety of bands, including Divine Sorrow, as well as drinks specials and a silent auction.
St. Louis, MO, April 04, 2014 --(PR.com)-- SteadyRain is proud to announce its sponsorship of Warrior Fest, a local event on Saturday, April 19th, focused on raising funds for the Wounded Warrior project. The digital strategy agency provided a logo design for this new initiative, a design for digital billboards deployed around the St. Louis Metro area as well as a small informational website for the event to help build community traction and general awareness.
Hosted by Big Daddy’s in Soulard, the public event will feature live music, drink specials, a silent auction and more. Purple Heart recipients Tanner Williams and Chisum Frisch will be in attendance to share their stories about the Wounded Warrior project and how the organization impacted their lives.
Live music from Spacetrain, Static Life and Code2 kicks off the event at 4 p.m. Divine Sorrow, named St. Louis’ “Best Rock Band” by the River Front Times, will headline the event starting at 8 p.m.
“The folks behind this event, many veterans themselves, should be commended on the traction that this event has already gained in the event’s first year,” said SteadyRain President, Thompson Knox. “We are proud to be a part of an event with such a great mission and look forward to supporting this group in the years to come.”
Warrior Fest is free to the public; there is no cover charge for the event or live entertainment. Big Daddy’s is donating a portion of its profits from the event to the Wounded Warrior Project. Attendees can make donations with cash, debit card or credit card at Warrior Fest or participate in the silent auction to support the event and Wounded Warrior Project. Items available for bidding include signed sports memorabilia, massages, stays at luxury hotels, hot air balloon rides and more.
“The support that we have received from our sponsors and volunteers is incredible,” said Trenton Seibel, Warrior Fest event producer. “This event is really about the community coming together to take care of the vets that have sacrificed for us, and I think that the community is really embracing that opportunity.”
