San Antonio Relay for Life Sponsored by Brian Alfaro

San Antonio, TX, April 04, 2014 --(PR.com)-- An oil and gas entrepreneur known for his contributions in the San Antonio area, Brian Alfaro will be partnering with the American Cancer Society to stomp out cancer. The ACS is hosting its annual Relay for Life on May 2, and Brian Alfaro is proud to sponsor the largest Relay in San Antonio.

Relay for Life has been one of ACS’s biggest fundraisers, raising nearly $5 billion worldwide since its start in 1985. Relay teams and participants walk around a track during the all-night event because “cancer never sleeps.” A family-friendly event for all, the San Antonio Relay for Life benefits the local ACS chapter through funds raised at the Relay. The event includes a Survivor Lap honoring those who are currently fighting or those who have won their fight with cancer. The solemn night time Luminaria ceremony honors those who lost their fight with cancer, enshrining their names on lit luminaria bags.
