Stephen Katsinas is the Director of the Education Policy Center at the University of Alabama. Dr. Katsinas has a Master’s degree in History from the University of Illinois and a Ph.D. in Higher Education from Southern Illinois University. Dr. Katsinas field of expertise is in History. He has recently taught courses on the History of American Higher Education, the Community College, Economic and Community Development and Higher Education, and Academic Cultures and Learning in Academe. Dr. Katsinas is the Author of many publications. Prior to joining the Education Policy Center at the University of Alabama, Dr. Katsinas was the Don A. Buchholz Chair of Higher Education and the Director of the Bill J. Priest Center for Community College Education at the University of North Texas.
