Seattle Tennis Club to Host the Washington State Open Tennis Tournament July 29 to August 3, 2014

Seattle, WA, April 08, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Seattle Tennis Club will host the 124th Washington State Open Tennis Tournament on July 29 through August 3, 2014. This is the 124th year the Club has hosted this event and the only Club tournament which is open to the general public. There is no cost to attend this event. Street parking will be limited with an estimated 10,000 spectators expected to attend the six day tournament.

Over 500 players are registered to participate in the tournament, with total prize purse of $22,000. The tournament includes Men’s & Women’s Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles events.

This Category II tournament (USTA ID # 600005214) is sanctioned by the U.S. Tennis Association. Title sponsors include Ewing & Clark, Inc., Stuart Silk Architects and Badgley Phelps Investment Advisors.

The 124 year-old Seattle Tennis Club is located in Madison Park on the shores of Lake Washington. The members-only Club sits on roughly eight acres of prime waterfront property and offers its 3,000-plus private members 19 tennis courts, a fitness center, squash courts, several dining facilities, a swimming pool, beachfront, boathouse and newly remodeled Pro Shop and indoor tennis facilities.
