Low-VOC Formulations for Polyurethane Coatings from Bayer MaterialsScience Offer High-Performance Properties to Protect Diverse Surfaces
Atlanta, GA, April 09, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Productivity, sustainability and quality are key drivers in the coatings industry today. Bayer MaterialScience LLC has developed raw materials and technologies that provide coating professionals high-performance solutions to protect diverse surfaces.
Mike Jeffries, field technical service manager, Coatings, Adhesives & Specialties, Bayer MaterialScience LLC, presented a tutorial on polyurethane coatings 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 7 during the pre-conference session of the American Coatings Show and Conference in Atlanta. His discussion included an explanation of polyurethane coatings and common raw material components. He also reviewed formulations for waterborne chemistries, such as one-component, two-component and radiation-curing polyurethane coatings, as well as specific applications.
“Increasingly, coatings professionals are turning to waterborne polyurethane coatings for their high-performance properties, versatility and low volatile organic compound (VOC) content,” Jeffries said.
Attendees of the American Coatings Show and Conference in Atlanta were able to visit Bayer’s booth #2305 to learn more about its coating raw materials and technologies.
