EMBRACE the Natural You, the Detroit based natural hair and beauty event planning group that recently brought you the 1st Annual EMBRACE The Natural You, the natural hair and beauty event, held at the Detroit Historical Museum, in November 2013 and featured on Essence.com, has planned something bigger and better.
EMBRACE The Natural You will be presenting Make Me Up Natural, Metro Detroit's Natural Hair, Health, Style & Beauty Expo, on June 7th, 2014, Saturday from 1pm-5pm ET, at McGregor Memorial Conference Center, Wayne State University, 495 Ferry Mall, Detroit, MI, 48202. Tickets are on sale now for $10 and can be purchased via http://makemeupnaturaldetroit.eventbrite.com.
Our health and skin is just as important as our natural hair. Attendees will learn how to build a natural hair regimen, how to lead a healthy lifestyle, learn about natural and organic makeup, get style tips as far as shopping on a budget, and can expect to come to have some good ole Fun and get their questions answered.
This event will entail learning, workshops led by the best, and plenty of shopping and plenty of prizes and giveaways. There will be three workshops titled – “Natural Hair 101,” “Makeup & Beauty 101,” and “Health and Wellness 101.” Attendees will also be able to shop the marketplace with many local Michigan based pop up shops.
Current sponsors include Naturalicious, a Michigan based natural hair care product line sold at Whole Foods stores locally, Hair Essentials, creator of the hair growth remedy in a bottle, Bravo Girl Fitness, Mixed Chicks, Jessicurl, Aunt Jackie’s Curls and Coils and others. There are still sponsorship and pop up shop opportunities for health and fitness related organizations, natural hair and body care brands, jewelry, cosmetic brands, etc.
Tickets purchases can also be made at the door the day of the event. Ticket purchases are non-refundable. Children under the age of 2 are free. Paid parking is available and/or street parking.
