LawTech Europe Congress Announces E-Discovery Expert Jason R. Baron as a Keynote Speaker for its 2014 Event in Prague

As an internationally recognized speaker and author on the preservation of electronic documents, Jason will be a Keynote Speaker for LawTech Europe Congress2014, an annual event on digital evidence, computer forensics, cyber security, and legal technology. Jason's Keynote will focus on "The Challenge of Cross-Border Information Governance In A Big Data World."

With data volume doubling every two years, information governance becomes more and more challenging. During his Keynote, Jason will discuss the application of predictive analytics in e-discovery to the information governance space, particularly how these sophisticated techniques work for U.S., European, and Asian based companies with a global presence. In addition, he will address whether an optimal information governance program based on the US experience can be successfully carried over in the EU given the EU's greater emphasis on privacy protections.

Mr. Baron serves as Of Counsel in the law firm of Drinker, Biddle & Reath, in Washington, D.C., and is the Co-Chair of the Information Governance Initiative, a newly formed vendor-neutral industry consortium and think tank. As an internationally recognized speaker and author, over the past decade Mr. Baron has given presentations on preservation and access issues involving electronic records in over 300 forums, including throughout the U.S. and Canada, as well as a keynote or invited speaker at conferences held in Australia, Belgium, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and The Czech Republic. Mr. Baron is also currently an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Maryland, where he teaches e-discovery in the College of Information Studies.
