Relish Culinary Adventures Announces First of a Series of "Maker Dinners"
Monthly wood-fired Maker Dinners dinners to feature a local wine maker, cheese maker & farmer.
Healdsburg, CA, April 22, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Relish Culinary Adventures announces the first of a monthly series of Maker Dinners on Saturday, April 26, 2014. Varying each month, the dinner menus will highlight ingredients and wine produced by specially selected local producers: farmer, cheese maker and wine maker. The meals, cooked in a Mugnaini wood-fired oven by Relish chef Anne Cornell, begin at 6:30 pm with light appetizers before guests are seated for a three-course family-style dinner with the Makers. The cost is $69 per person plus tax and includes two glasses of wine by the featured wine maker. Additional wine will be available for purchase by the glass or bottle. Gratuity is at the discretion of the guest.
The April dinner includes spring ingredients from Bernier Farms, represented by Paul & Yael Bernier, and a fresh and aged goat milk cheeses from Pugs Leap Farmstead Artisan Goat Cheese with cheese maker Anna Hancock. MacPhail Family Vineyards is the featured wine for the April meal, represented by general manager Jim Morris. Relish owner Donna del Rey will host a brief conversation with the Makers during the evening.
Future Maker Dinners will include a revolving cast of Sonoma County farmers and artisan producers and their products, including Twisted Horn Ranch owners Dave & Kristine Beck and their longhorn cattle beef, cheese from Valley Ford Cheese with rancher/cheese maker Karen Bianchi-Moreda; Longboard Vineyards wine maker Oded Shakked; Canvas Ranch produce with farmer Deborah Walton; Kelley and Young wine makers Kathleen and Jim Young; Redwood Hill Cheese’s David Bice; and many more.
Maker Dinners for 2014 are scheduled monthly through October: Saturday, May 17; Saturday, June 28; Friday, July 18; Friday, August 8; Saturday, September 27; and Saturday, October 18. Participating Makers and menus for each monthly dinner will be posted on the Relish website as they are finalized.
