Campbell Law Generates 5,300 Pounds of Charitable Contributions for Feeding Frenzy Food Drive
Law School Serves Local Community by Donating Food Which Will Provide Over 10,000 Meals to Area Residents.
Raleigh, NC, April 23, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Campbell Law School has announced that the institution collected more donations than the other three Triangle law schools for the 2014 North Carolina Feeding Frenzy food drive. Led by Campbell Law Student Bar Association President Wes Saunders and third-year student Jasmine Lucas, the law school received more than 5,300 pounds of food, which will provide over 10,000 meals to area residents.
“Service is not only a big part of the legal profession, but it’s one of the most important aspects of our education at Campbell Law,” said Saunders. “I am proud to be at a place where our students, faculty and staff come together to support such a worthwhile and impactful effort.”
North Carolina Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division, in conjunction with the North Carolina Feeding America Food Banks, conducted the annual food drive from March 10-28. Last year’s collection resulted in 180,000 pounds of food, providing the equivalent of 150,000 meals for hungry North Carolinians across the state.
