A Day of Spay in May. Jackson Galaxy, Star of Animal Planet's "My Cat from Hell" to Appear as Part of FixFest.
FixFest is a new area-wide spay and neuter day to be held in conjunction with the annual WorldFest “earth day” celebration on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Woodley Park in Lake Balboa, California. WorldFest is an all-day solar-powered, education and entertainment event focusing on sustainability, environmentalism and animal welfare.
Lake Balboa, CA, April 23, 2014 --(PR.com)-- FixFest is a new area-wide spay and neuter day to be held in conjunction with the annual WorldFest “earth day” celebration at Woodley Park in Lake Balboa, California. WorldFest is an all-day solar-powered, education and entertainment event focusing on sustainability, environmentalism, and animal welfare.
To help alleviate pet overpopulation, FixFest will bring together a coalition of local spay/neuter programs, which will offer low-cost, spaying and neutering of dogs and cats. Participating organizations include, Angel Dogs Foundation, Best Friends, Stray Cat Alliance, SNPLA, SPAY4LA and FixNation, Mobile spay/neuter units will be stationed at WorldFest. Other veterinary clinics throughout the Los Angeles area will also participate. Residents who bring their pets with an appointment to FixFest or one of the participating facilities will receive a complimentary ticket to WorldFest so they can attend the popular eco-friendly family event while their pets are being "fixed." The first 30 participants at each clinic will also receive a gift bag with great items for people and pets.

People should not bring a pet to WorldFest without an appointment. Pets are not allowed at park location of WorldFest except for service animals and pets who are up for adoption through designated organizations or being sterilized with an appointment at the on-site mobile clinics.
