Texas Trust Credit Union Earns Diamond Awards at Industry Marketing Competition

CUNA Honors Texas Trust with three Diamond Awards at annual marketing competition

Mansfield, TX, April 23, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Texas Trust Credit Union took home three Diamond awards for outstanding marketing and business development achievements at the annual Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Marketing & Business Development Council conference.

Texas Trust received a Diamond Award for its "Put Money in Your Pocket" business development campaign. The campaign targeted public school teachers and brought in 1,700 new loans and generated 1,272 new checking accounts.

The credit union's Spirit Reward Card for Grand Prairie Independent School District earned a Diamond award in the "plastic card" category. The uniquely designed debit card was developed by a fifth grade student as part of a Texas Trust card design contest. The contest received more than 240 entries and the winning design generated nearly 18,000 votes on Facebook.

Texas Trust also received top honors for the point-of-sale and retail merchandising display at its new in-school branch at DeSoto High School. The display materials complemented the school's look and feel using actual pictures of students and faculty within the promotional literature, wall art, and other marketing materials.

"The Diamond Award competition is the most prestigious competition for excellence in marketing and business development in the credit union industry," said Michelle Hunter, Chair of the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council and SVP of Marketing & Development at Credit Union of Southern California. "These awards represent the very best examples of creativity, innovation, relevance, and execution and are not easily earned."

Award winners were recognized at the council’s annual conference in Orlando.
