Never Watch Movies Alone Again is "Date Night" Kickstarter Project Goal
FLM.TV’s "Date Night" is a new way to watch movies through global video chat with anyone, anywhere as ComScore reports over 182.4 million Americans watch online videos
Austin, TX, April 25, 2014 --(PR.com)-- FLM.TV™, a Video OnDemand (OTT) Social TV entertainment company that offers an online Social TV experience for viewing and distribution of movies has launched its ‘Date Night’ Project on Kickstarter, with a live video chat capability and a great way to watch a movie with loved ones anywhere in the world.
ComScore in April 2104 reported that 182.4 million Americans watched 49.2 billion online videos. FLM.TV’s ‘Date Night’ is focused on these viewers who are online watching videos. This presents a growing need to help make a connection with online viewers’ friends and family during ‘movie night.’ Reasons for video chatting during movie night include: date night, deployed vets and family, college students, night with grand parents, global families and a new dating experience for long distance romances.
“The Internet has sped up our lives and social media has created new ways to connect online. We wanted to bring these two together and make ‘movie night’ a little more special,” said Diane Bernard, Founder & President of FLM.TV. “So we launched ‘Date Night,’ a Kickstarter campaign to drive awareness, gain backers and the support of those who would like to see this project become a reality.”
Entertainment and dating are complementary activities. The number of people in the U.S. who have tried online dating totals 41,250,000. Total eHarmony members are 15,500,000 and Total Match.com members have reached 21,575,000. The intersection of entertainment and dating has the potential to become a very significant audience.
“We have already begun development of this new video chat feature and our goal is to have it completed within the next 60 days,” added Ms. Bernard. “Our plans are to allow up to 8 live video chats so participants can invite multiple friends from anywhere in the world to join them for a virtual viewing experience.”
FLM.TV has a number of ways to support the project. One of them allows participants to purchase movie passes for a vet and allow him/her to watch movies online with their families or someone special. Supporters and backers can learn more about this project by clicking the link below.
