Originally, the algorithm was written for a Network Intrusion Detection System based on machine learning. By the time Mr Volakis got the idea of applying the technology he had built also to other fields such as football game predictions, he quit his job in London as SAP system engineer (sap systems global team leader) at a bank and moved back to Athens to found Synasource P.C. The tech start-up is specialized in mobile technology and software engineering. Two months after its establishment, the small team was sitting together thinking of how to improve every bettor’s life.
