Analog An Idea Company, Inc.™ Introduces New Audio Format with Higher Quality and a Smaller File Size and Thanks to Mike Judge’s Silicon Valley for the Introduction
Orange, CA, April 29, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Analog An Idea Company, Inc., (http://www.analogideas.co) an Orange County-based Incubator and Professional Services Agency, announced the development of its new digital audio compression format called JAM. JAM’s format allows transmission and or storage of acoustical data without diminishment of the original audio signal. This greatly increases the current mp3 audio quality while also significantly reducing the overall file size.
“Our goal was to bring back the excitement of quality audio. Somewhere along the line to gain convenience and portability, we accepted MP3’s substandard audio quality. Sure hard drive capacity imposed limits, but with recent advances, there’s no longer a need to ever sacrifice quality again. At Analog, we can’t wait to remind the world that high quality audio still matters,” said Alfred Miranda, Analog’s COO and President.
Another sign of perfect timing for the culmination of Analog’s JAM format was the April 6, 2014 premier of “Silicon Valley” on HBO. A series created by Mike Judge of “Office Space” fame. The show centers on six programmers who live together and try to make it big in Silicon Valley with the creation of an advanced audio compression algorithm.
“Being a huge fan of Mike Judge’s work, I was excited to watch the show. You can imagine my surprise when I saw what the characters’ ‘billion dollar idea’ was. My colleagues and I were surprised. For a TV show to underscore the need for what we have developed is amazing. It gets the point out there to the masses that audio and what we can all do with it, still matters. So, naturally, Silicon Valley is already one of my favorite show,” said Alfred Miranda, Analog’s COO and President.
Along with a product division, Analog also has a professional services division, which has worked hard to distinguish itself in the technical and creative space. Their award winning website (http://www.analogideas.co) is a strong testament to their creativity. Analog’s professional services division is a consultancy with significant experience in the areas of Large to Small Scale Product and Project Management, Application Development (Mobile/Enterprise/Cloud), and Marketing (Brand Development/Management and Web).
“I’m always excited by the work we do for our clients and impressed with our R&D teams on their ideas and execution; but this time I’m blown away. Our creative staff has already executed some very impressive design around this innovation and we are all very excited to share this with the world. I’m hoping that day will be very soon,” said Christopher Clarke, Chief Creative Officer.
The JAM Format is the latest in a series of products under development by Analog. There are several mobile applications in development, some of which utilize the JAM format in ways that allow for audio to be streamed in a manner that consumes less bandwidth, while other apps are designed to stand alone. Analog’s endeavors also include hardware products, with two microphones in development. These microphones are high quality instruments on their own, but when used in conjunction with Analog’s software or the JAM format, these mics roar to life with multiple audio capabilities.
“With so much focus on the future of entertainment, be it film, TV, video games, or music; it only seems right to pair those captivating images or depth of musical composition with audio that will not only compliment, but enhance the storytelling process. This is really only the beginning. We have a lot of plans for this format that are going to make a big difference on a much grander scale. It’s really exciting,” said Jessica Dally, Analog Director of Entertainment Technology.
