J.T. Wimsatt Contracting Co., Inc. Wins the Golden Gate Award for UCSD CTRI Project
J.T. Wimsatt Recognized by Cal/OSHA for Outstanding Safety Program Implementation.
San Diego, CA, May 02, 2014 --(PR.com)-- J.T. Wimsatt Contracting Co., Inc. today announces that they have won their fourth Golden Gate Partnership Recognition Award. The Golden Gate Partnership is awarded by Cal/OSHA Consultation Service in recognition of implementing and maintaining an effective injury and illness prevention program during the Cal/OSHA Consultation Service visits and inspections conducted at J.T. Wimsatt’s UCSD CTRI jobsite.
“This commitment to workplace safety and health is being commended by the Cal/OSHA Consultation Service,” states Michael Martinka, Safety Consultant of Cal/OSHA.
Since the creation of the Partnership Program by Cal/OSHA, the industry has benefitted greatly in evidence of lower incident rates and has improved the understanding of applicable laws. The Golden Gate Award shows J.T. Wimsatt’s commitment to workplace safety and health in the workplace.

Wimsatt and Cal/OSHA consultancy is not something you prepare or study for, but a concerted effort by both our entities to come together, not just in the spirit of safety, but a team,” explains Ed Spurgeon, Safety Director at J.T. Wimsatt. “We are proud of the jobsite teams that have earned these awards and hope others will have an opportunity to enter into the Golden Gate Partnership Program.
