Chicago Prime Italian Schaumburg Unveiled - New Independently-Owned Restaurant Now Open

Schaumburg, IL, May 16, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Independently owned, Chicago Prime Italian, is a new upscale casual restaurant located at 1370 E. Bank Drive in Schaumburg, Illinois just blocks from Woodfield Mall.

Chicago Prime Italian is the independent venture of local businessman Andy-John G. Kalkounos, Managing Partner of Schaumburg’s Chicago Prime Steakhouse, a fine dining institution a few short miles away.

The Chicago Prime Steakhouse reputation serves as an archetype for Kalkounos’ own brand of upscale Italian dining by creating an approachable, casual and relaxed ambiance.

“The Chicago Prime Steakhouse has effectively established a standard of quality & service in this area since 1999, and with Chicago Prime Italian, we plan to uphold the brand’s stellar reputation in every way,” says Kalkounos.

Chicago Prime Italian’s menu focuses on the bold flavors and simple comforts of classic Italian fare and rare wines. Kalkounos recently acquired acclaimed Chicago chef Javiel Villalobos, former Executive Chef of Giannotti’s, and they have crafted a menu of generous portions, fresh ingredients and personal touches such as house-made pastas and sauces. Chicago Prime favorites such as steak, chops, veal, fresh seafood and signature Italian dishes are complemented by a carefully selected wine and classic cocktail menu. Most entrees range from $15-25 making Chicago Prime Italian an affordable option for group events, family and business dinners.
