Virtua Signs Agreement with dbtech to Implement eFolders for Physician Credentialing
Dbtech announced today an agreement with Virtua Health for the implementation of dbtech’s eFolders solution.
Edison, NJ, May 02, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Virtua has been leveraging dbtech’s Ras content management platform for multiple IT platforms since 1998, and in recent years has relied on dbtech’s Scan to Ras function for the capture of physician and government affairs documentation. In 2014 Virtua attended a dbtech eFolders webinar and soon began to investigate how eFolders could serve their immediate scanning needs for Physician Credentialing, with an eye towards invoices and other human resources based documents.
“With healthcare IT focusing on the delivery of the right data to the right person at the right time, and in the most efficient way, dbtech’s ECM portal is a fundamental component to Virtua’s IT infrastructure. The ability to consolidate content from all IT platforms into an easy to support and useful tool has led to efficiencies for Virtua’s IT customers,” said Tom Decker Virtua Systems Integration Architect. “Now with the eFolders API staff can view this content directly from any platform.”
“Virtua’s thoroughness and interest to enhance our products has been a hallmark of our long-standing association. Virtua’s needs are exactly what we had in mind when we designed eFolders. eFolders is the fruition of thousands of hours of coding, conversation and collaboration with our customers. eFolders’ technical roots were developed in our Rasi platform, which has serviced customers since 2002. Word is spreading that dbtech’s eFolders can beat the ECM big-boys in both reliability and cost, and we are happy to say that we are in contract negotiations with a number of organizations,” said Greg Park, dbtech’s Director of Enterprise Solutions.
Dbtech’s eFolders is designed to aggregate, distribute and automate structured and non-structured content from any platform into a vendor neutral solution that streamlines all existing paper-bound workflows. “One of the challenges facing EMR’s is the distribution of administrative content. As an example, eFolders will aggregate purchase orders and inbound invoices while managing approval processes. This application of eFolders will save our customers money by avoiding lost and missing invoices,” Park said.
With dbtech’s eFolders platform, customers create a myriad of databases from on-staff physicians, employees, invoices, donations and contracts. eFolders collects content from existing IT platforms and external sources, including outputs from any platform or desktop, scanned images, electronic invoices and photographs. eFolders is designated as a Vendor Neutral Archiving and Automation solution that expedites approvals, collaboration and replaces inefficient paper forms with eForms. “The most frequent questions we hear are regarding integrating our eFolders platform with various EMR or financial system platforms, and this has been given great attention by our design and development teams. Our API makes eFolders content and functionality easily accessible to all Epic, Soarian, Meditech, Lawson and PeopleSoft users. Our goals were to create a comprehensive API that makes eFolders as transparent as customers wish it to be. Many users may not even know our product is running in the background,” Park said.
