Designer at TFI Envision, Inc. Featured at Pierce Ball Gallery

Norwalk, CT, May 04, 2014 --(PR.com)-- One of the designers at TFI Envision, Chris Plaisted, is also a fine artist. His sculptures will be featured in an upcoming art show - “The Art of Juxtaposition,” at the Pierce Ball Gallery in Stamford, CT on May 17 and 18th, 1 - 5pm.

The massive steel and copper sculpture required 4 men to install. “My work tends to focus on forms of contrast. It may be in the concept: man vs. nature, social vs. emotion or it may be the tension created by the use of materials. I connect with the juxtaposition of different materials, steel with copper and concrete, wood with metals. I believe that the opposing materials, forms, or colors in my work, intensify each element’s properties to produce a more dynamic form of expression,” said Plaisted.

His other works in this show are of a more intimate size, some pieces suited to exterior display while others are designed for interior display.
